All September, $15 From Every Greyhound Rescue Necklace Goes to Greyhound Rescue

Normally, $10 from every Greyhound Rescue Necklace goes straight to greyhound rescue. For the rest of September, we're making it $15.

Same necklace. Same price. Just more of it going where it matters.

The short version

Until 30 September, $15 from every Greyhound Rescue Necklace sold through maraux.com.au is donated to GreytGreys and Amazing Greys, split evenly between the two. On 1 October it goes back to our usual $10.

Why we're doing it

The Greyhound Rescue Necklace exists because of Sophie. She came to us as a foster greyhound, a retired racer who needed somewhere soft to land. She turned up exactly when our hearts needed mending, and she's been running the house (and this brand) ever since. Around here she answers to Shnoots, or the noodle dog.

The pendant was drawn from her: the arch of the back, the long nose, the ridiculous elegance of a dog built for 70km/h who'd rather spend the day on the couch.

GreytGreys and Amazing Greys are two of the volunteer-run groups doing the real work of getting dogs like Sophie off the track and into homes. They rely almost entirely on donations, volunteers and foster carers. We wanted to give a little more back this month, so we are.

Where the money goes

Every dollar helps cover the everyday costs of rescue: vet bills, desexing, foster support, and all the small expenses involved in getting one more greyhound into a home with a soft bed and a family who adores them.
